Attending last night’s show in Munich on the Higher Tour, I didn’t know what to expect and what the energy was going to be. But being surrounded by her loving fans and getting to hear what Davina’s music means to them was quite inspiring. They describe her as extremely caring, kind, determined and fearless and to them she is more than just their favorite artist. When someone touches your soul – healing your heart while silencing your inner demons – supporting them becomes second nature.
Davina’s most loyal fans have their own stories to tell of how she has not only impacted their lives and inspired them to be themselves and follow their dreams, but saved them from giving up when it seemed like the easiest option. Her music has been there for people, it has made them feel understood for the first time and helped them get to a place of happiness again. And you really get why she is so loved when you attend one of her shows. What you see online is even better in person. Davina’s vocals are out of this world and her stage presence is like nothing I have ever experienced. I went to a lot of shows in my life so far – professionally and personally – but seeing her give it her all on that stage last night and feeling the energy around me, I have to say that it was by far one of my favorite concerts to date.
The way Davina blends emotional, heartfelt moments with an energetic, upbeat dance party is remarkable. From tender ballads like I Won’t Let Go and Grown Up Girl that had the crowd holding their breath to anthems like Heartbeat and Hold On that turned the room into a full-blown rave, she made every song feel personal. One of the most touching moments came during Lullaby, when she held a fan’s hand — knowing how much the song meant to her — before walking through the crowd, creating a beautiful, intimate connection with everyone in the room. Honestly, I couldn’t pick a favorite because every moment felt special. And the fact that she was really sick yet still delivered heavenly vocals and an unforgettable show speaks volumes about her talent. We all left the show with recharged mental batteries and happy hearts.
Seeing such a brilliant artist be in her element with every song she sang and feeling her kindness and love in such an intimate show setting will be a memory none of us will ever forget. I could not be more grateful for the opportunity to attend the show and put this little piece together for you to feel inspired and convinced to go experience it for yourselves.
There is so much more to say about Davina Michelle, but not enough words to describe such a sensational human being. She connected with the audience, made each person feel close to her and created a place where everyone felt welcomed. I also got to meet her after the show and all I can say is that she is one of the sweetest and kindest human beings and such a beautiful woman – inside and out. Truthfully, there is no one like her in this industry and I genuinely hope that more people start to see her talent because someone like Davina should not be just underrated but celebrated for who she is, what she stands for and the gift she was blessed with.
