Nothing Less Than A Timeless Experience

Timeless. Definitely the correct word to describe Meghan Trainor and her shows. Eight years ago was the last time I saw Meghan on tour. The Untouchable Tour which was right after her second album Thank You came out. The show was amazing and 16-year-old me was gushing over the fact that I got to not only see Meghan front row, but meet her too. Eight years later we’re back for The Timeless Tour and she exceeded my expectations.

Meghan radiates confidence now more than ever before, especially with the outfits. Untouchable Tour Meghan had her arms covered and was wearing long dresses. Timeless Tour Meghan is popping off with the skirts, crop tops and showing her body off, as she should. Meghan has always been beautiful to me and always seemed so confident, but the way she is with this tour is unlike any other. Her confidence beams off the stage I am absolutely here for it!

I had the privilege of going to the Timeless Tour and it is absolutely incredible. From the amazing songs, the visuals to the dancers and choreography. Though Meghan’s music is incredible, the number one thing that stands out is how humble and relatable she is.

Meghan starts each show with the VIP experience which includes soundcheck and watching her, her husband Daryl Sabara and her brother Ryan Trainor filming their podcast Workin On It while answering questions submitted by fans. During the soundcheck, Meghan sings her hit song Title, but also makes it a point to make everyone feel seen and included. She said ‘Hi’ to almost everyone and created so many incredible experiences for everyone, but especially little kids and first time concert goers.

Meghan made everyone feel like they were a part of her close knit family. I personally had the privilege and honor of being invited backstage. Being a fan for an entire decade and then some – which is basically Meghan’s entire career – this moment was everything for me. Being able to hug her, take pictures, thank her and tell her how much I love her meant the whole world to me. Talking with Meghan does not feel like talking to a celebrity and she does not come off as the stereotype that Hollywood is stuck up with. She is so humble and truly cares about her fans and it was truly like a normal conversation with a best friend.

Right before Meghan comes on they play I Get It from her most recent album Timeless and the second it’s over the show starts. The visual of the moon plays on the screen as you hear the voice of her sweet son Riley say, “Welcome to the Timeless Tour!” and the crowd goes crazy. She comes on the stage, goes high up on a platform and opens with the megahit Mother. Let me tell you, Meghan Trainor is absolutely mother. Throughout the show she sings her classic hit singles like All About That Bass, Lips are Movin’, Me Too, Dear Future Husband, and closes out with Made You Look. The interaction with the crowd is so personable and different from any other artist’s concert I have been to. No one does it like Meghan and no one is as personable as her.

After 8 years, this being Meghan’s first time back on tour, it was worth the 8 year wait. When the confetti popped during Made You Look, I was sad. Sad that it was over, not knowing the next time I would see Meghan again. Meghan Trainor, you are TIMELESS. You, your music, your tour and your kindness. Thank you for giving me and thousands of other people unforgettable, incredible, timeless nights we will never forget.
