Over the years we have all stumbled upon amazing music and female artists who entered our lives and some even changed it for the better. Have you ever thought about how each artist you come across has entered your life at the exact right time? Nothing is coincidental and music is the best kind of therapy there is.
We all have our songs and playlists for different moods we’re in and our favorite artists we can listen to on repeat all day long. If you know me, you know that Rita Ora and Tate McRae are my top 2 and will be for eternity. But I have also had some new incredibly talented female artists on my radar over the past two years, so here are my top 3 you should definitely start listening to.
Morgan St. Jean

A friend of mine saw Morgan open for one of her favorite bands on tour last year and she immediately recommended her music to me. Little did I know how much I’d fall in love with it. Getting to interview the Feminist Pop Princess for my podcast over zoom last year, I was truly inspired by her story and everything she had to share. Fast forward to three weeks ago, I got the chance to interview her in person and watch her perform for the first time. Once you’ve felt her energy and heard her exceptional voice live, you want to be a part of her journey forever. Her sound is absolutely unique, her stage presence is electric and she is the kindest and most humble person you could ever meet. Each song she puts out has an important message and just listening to it makes you feel empowered.
My favorite songs: To The Bank, Do It Like A Girl, Island
Rachel Grae

When her song Outsider popped up on my TikTok for you page years ago, I found myself in a lyrical chokehold. I finally felt understood and while the words resonated with me, her voice truly captured me. There is a good reason why we had to feature Rachel in our December issue and shine a light on the talented artist and bright human she is. The Grae of sunshine writes music straight out of her diary and some fans might even feel like she ripped it out of theirs. That’s how honest and authentic each of her songs is and it’s why people connect to her lyrics so deeply. Getting to chat with her for my podcast was a bonus and one of the funnest conversations I ever had.
My favorite songs: Outsider, Hope Your Proud, Enough Of Me
Lindsey Lomis

Lindsey has become a podcast regular at this point and rightfully so. I always have so much fun catching up with her and getting to watch her journey since we first met in 2022 has been such a blessing. From opening for (the) JoJo on tour to headlining her own shows and being recognized by huge names in the industry, she is on the right path to a long lasting career being only 21 years old. Her new EP Handle With Care drops March 29 and you should go pre-save it now, if you haven’t already. We absolutely love Lindsey and so will you.
My favorite songs: Handle With Care, Long Way Down, Slow Motion (feat. JoJo)
All three of these rising queens have one thing in common: you recognize their voices instantly, because each voice has a beautiful tone that is their own. To complete this article, we have curated a ROARA Radio playlist for you that includes music from the mentioned artists, as well as empowering songs from other female artists we love – upcoming, rising and established. Enjoy the music and let it capture you.
