Growing up, our generation found new songs through music charts, programs like MTV or YouTube later on. Nowadays, you find new artists scrolling daily on TikTok and it is safe to say that the talent on there is massive. But it takes a special voice to make you stop swiping for a minute, and one of those special voices belongs to Rachel Grae. Her talent is beyond the ordinary and if you haven’t heard of her yet, the time to change that is now.
Born and raised in New Jersey, Rachel has captured a worldwide audience with not only her incredible voice, but by being her humble, authentic and bubbly self. She is a ray of sunshine and comes across as a very positive person, even though some might think otherwise, listening to her brutally honest and very vulnerable music. But it makes sense. Writing songs like that, pouring all these emotions into lyrics is therapeutic and it doesn’t just help Rachel work through her pain, but connects with anyone pressing play on the music when it’s out for the whole world to hear.

I remember the first time I heard a snippet of Outsider on TikTok, my heart jumped. As someone who has been an outsider her whole life, feeling misunderstood and trying to fit in, that song hit differently. And that’s what you call the Rachel Grae Effect. Poured straight from her diary into the art that so many people around the world connect with. As a big fan of her music myself, I had the honor to interview Rachel for my podcast and it’s safe to say that it’s still one of my favorite episodes to date. Her energy was beaming and the whole conversation was just full of pure laughter and good vibes. It’s that one episode that lifts up my spirits every single time I listen to it.
The queen of therapeutic pop has touched the hearts of so many and captivated her friend base through the beautiful sound of her voice and her kind and humble personality. Their bond is like no other and the impact she has had on every single one of them is reflected in the hearts she healed and the stories she changed in the most positive way. Rachel’s biggest goal is to help others through her music and she has been doing exactly that since the day she stepped into the music industry and blessed our ears with her remarkable vocal ability.
Just listening to the sound of her pure tone, you fall in love with it instantly. While you can hear the influence of the artists she grew up listening to, her voice stands out on its own and has a uniqueness that can’t be described. Just imagine being surrounded by little fireflies glowing in the dark, charging your light and healing your heart. There is nothing more beautiful than having music that helps you escape reality and turns into a form of therapy at the same time. Being an artist who has the power to achieve that is a gift that Rachel carries out in the best way.

But her discography doesn’t carry sad girl vibes only, there are a few upbeat bangers in there as well that make you wanna take a road trip and scream the lyrics from the top of your lungs. Songs like You Suck, Good Side and Friend Like Me can definitely be that boost of energy on those days when you need it. If you are a sucker for slow songs and deep lyrics like me, you’ll be that person who listens to Outsider, Daughter and Hope You’re Proud on full volume at the gym while walking on the treadmill. It is what it is, don’t judge!
When she started out, Rachel was the most insecure girl in the world until she stepped into her power and started fulfilling her purpose. We all struggle from time to time, but once we start believing in ourselves and begin working towards the dreams that are meant for us, no one can stop us from reaching the stars. Rachel is only getting started and is most certainly headed towards the success she is destined to have. And we will do our part by giving back some of the colorful light that she has sparked our lives with.
