The 2023 Fashion Takes To Remember

Year after year, the entertainment industry sees constant change and growth. The music changes, the tour productions change, the style sense changes, and most significant of all: the fashion changes. With so many standout looks from so different artists and fashion statements, let’s take a look at some of the most memorable from 2023.

When it comes to touring, the looks are what really hold the production together like glue. The storytelling is enhanced to the max with a dazzling outfit! One artist that stood out this year on tour was Carrie Underwood. Carrie proved this year that there are endless ways to pair denim and rhinestones, which was only fitting for her tour.

For one of her acts, Carrie wore denim shorts matched with a pale blue denim jacket that were finished with a pink frayed hem. The best part? Huge, shiny rhinestones covered every inch. Her footwear did not disappoint either – the holographic, silver shine of her cowboy boots could assure even those in the nosebleeds knew her every move!

Concerts are just not concerts these days without the merch – and this year was insane for it. It’s a known fact that getting to leave the concert you’ve been looking forward to for months with a cute piece of merch makes the post-concert depression hit a little less hard! One artist that had memorable merch this year was Kelsea Ballerini.

This year, Kelsea played her first headlining arena show in her hometown of Knoxville, TN, and the merch she had at the show was such a hit it sold out before the doors had even opened. Her homecoming crewneck stood out in its cream base and Tennessee Vols color scheme of orange and white. In the center was toddler Kelsea in her Vols cheerleading outfit, with the Vols mascot displayed next to her. The monumental meaning of how far she’s come is shown perfectly on this crewneck and the merch batch from this show!

One accessory that took 2023 by storm was friendship bracelets. With a little help from one of our favorite female powerhouses in the industry, Taylor Swift, friendship bracelets have become part of everyday style for most. One brand that blossomed in that department this year was Little Words Project – a female-owned small business founded by Adriana Carrig. The business creates positive, empowering affirmation bracelets that come in all different colors, styles, and collections. Custom options are available as well for those looking to make something personal. Small businesses like this one truly made 2023 easier to get through, and serve as a reminder that kindness changes lives.

This year, it finally felt like moves have been made for females in fashion and entertainment. We saw Primark join forces with global pop queen Rita Ora for a multi-seasonal collection, Reneé Rapp pulling off a sweetgreen paper bag as a dress for her collaboration with the food company, Rihanna headlining the super bowl, the Barbie movie taking over the world and of course the most powerful woman in the music industry and Forbes’ person of the year: Miss Taylor Swift.

This year, voices have been heard, personality and strength have been shown through style, and a fire has been lit for female domination in the industry in 2024. Female empowerment will “never go out of Style,” and 2023 proved that this is just the beginning.
