When you think of Rita Ora, you could never label her as only one thing. The global pop sensation is known to do it all, from music and entertainment to business and fashion. Wherever she goes, she attracts and while her aura is very radiant, her looks always catch the eye of those she passes. While you might know her as the successful woman she is today, she did not grow up having it all.
Backstory. Rita came with her family to London when she was 1, fleeing the war in former Yugoslavia. They had to start over, build a new life for themselves and hustle the best way they knew how. New beginnings are tough, mentally and financially, so all purchases were on a tight budget. But there was one retailer that Rita could always rely on and that helped her embrace her love for fashion while still being affordable.

As she explained herself, Primark has been a part of her DNA since she can remember and it was the trusting friend she could always depend on. The recently announced collaboration with the well-known international retailer might come as a surprise to many people, but it is far more than just another brand collaboration. To Rita, it is all about acknowledging her personal connection through creating a collection that reflects not only the Ora style and its power, but includes personal touches fans will most certainly appreciate.
If you know Rita, you know that she is always part of the creative process no matter what she is working on and this collaboration is no exception. Not only has she been a part of developing the collection at every stage of the process, but she also spent time getting to know Primark behind the scenes and visited the retailer’s Sustainable Cotton Program in India. So when you see the result of two years of hard work displayed in your nearest Primark stores, make sure you take a moment to appreciate it.

If you were missing the You & I merch with the album drop like I did, you will discover that there are a few pieces that include the signature album lock. And lucky for us this merch is not only affordable for the average young person in their 20s, but can easily be purchased in-store while we wait for the highly anticipated world tour. I mean we gotta show up to show off, don’t we?
The full collection launches on September 19 in and includes all kinds of eclectic pieces from comfy and very chic clothing to stylish shoes and all kinds of accessories. And according to the fashion icon herself, this isn’t a one-off collection at all, but a multiseason partnership. You can expect an autumn/winter collection – dropping in two parts – and the same goes for spring/summer. We are definitely excited to see it all in its full glory and encourage you to go check it out, purchase your favorite pieces and show your Ora.
