We have seen many female artists explore different revenues beyond the music industry. From signature perfumes, makeup and skincare to beverages, accessories and clothing. As a fan, you wanna get whatever your favorite artist comes out with, so the hype and fan promotion around it comes naturally. While we have seen a lot of similar approaches to brand expansion with a lot of successful businesses making their marks, we want to highlight a few of our favorite clothing brands founded by amazing female artists we cherish.
Humans Being

Humans Being is all about encouraging people to embrace their true selves while advocating for a fashion industry that is ethical and sustainable. The activewear brand was founded by multi-talented entertainer and fashion icon Rita Ora in 2022 and includes a wide range of comfy clothes you can wear to the gym, on your daily hot girl walk or to the airport, catching your next flight. It’s such a great fit, stretches well and is beautifully designed for both flattery and function. Scrolling through the site, you will see diverse representation and various fits to choose from, so you can find what’s compatible with your individual type. And every time you purchase from Humans Being, you help protect rainforest in partnership with the World Land Trust. So you can get a comfy fit and contribute to saving the planet at the same time. We love to see that!
To shine a light on the next two brands, I have asked Leeha from Yorkshire, England to share her perspective, as she has been a Little Mix fan since 2011. The girls have inspired and empowered her and today, she knows how to believe in herself, her voice and talent while embracing all her imperfections. Owning pieces from both brands, she happily shared her love and positive feedback.
In A Sea Shell

In A Sea Shell was founded by singer/songwriter Leigh-Anne Pinnock and one of her closest friends Gabrielle Urquhart in 2019. It is such a beautiful, diverse, inclusive and empowering brand that champions the diversity and beauty of every body shape, size and it should be celebrated. For Leeha, it’s so important for brands to showcase different models with different body types and disabilities because everyone can then look at the brand and feel included. Whenever she wears her In A Sea Shell pieces from the collections – either that be the bikinis to the lounge wear – she always feels confident in them and proud to wear it. And with each piece you get a little bag and inside is a seashell and a note that reads “like seashells we are all beautiful and unique each with a story to tell” and that is so important to remember and such an incredible reminder for everyone. According to Leeha, the condition of the pieces is absolutely amazing, they are so comfy, feel so cozy but still embrace your own figure.
Disora

Disora is such a beautiful and inspiring brand founded by singer/songwriter Perrie Edwards in 2022. After their first collection, Perrie and the Disora team listened to the feedback and made sure their next pieces were more available to everyone. Leeha says that the Disora Wrap around zipper jacket and leggings in the shade Mocha are the comfiest active wear set she owns. She loves how the material compliments her curves, how comfy it is and the little details, such as the Disora logo being on the back of the leggings and the two zip accessories on the jacket. Both brands come highly recommended to anyone who wishes to purchase any items and wants to support Perrie and Leigh-Anne as well.
Owning comfortable, flattering and empowering clothing you feel your absolute best in is so important and we hope that you feel inspired and ready to add some of these pieces to your closet collection. Fashion brands like these are more than just a variety of clothing presented to us, it is the beautiful female power behind them of artists who have given us more than just a safe space through music.
