2022 has been crazy, hasn’t it? At least I can speak for myself. Looking back at this year, we can surely say that a lot has happened and we truly hope positive events have outweighed negative ones. And no matter what happened to you, you should always leave a place for hope and magic to bring with you into the new year. It is a blank canvas, and although you might not always be the solo artist painting it, the outcome is always unexpected and worth all the effort you put into it.
But enough poetry, let’s talk fashion! This year was major fashion-wise and we got a lot of memorable fashion moments that are for sure going to enter the fashion history book.
1. Brand of the Year: Miu Miu
It’s safe to say that the Miu Miu mini skirt flooded social media this year.
2. Logo of the Year: Diesel
You don’t have to be a fashion girlie to recognize this logo as it was everywhere this year.
3. Bag of the Year: Prada
The Prada Reedition 2000 bag was a must-have among the fashion influencers this year and was recreated by many brands as well.
4. Collaboration of the Year: Jacquemus x Nike
This was unexpected, huge and marvelous and I can keep on going with the synonyms but I’m sure you’ve already got the idea.
5. Shoes of the Year: Birkenstock
I can’t be more happy that we’re starting to finally choose comfort over fashion struggles and Birkenstocks topping every other shoe this year is mindblowing.
6. Most Memorable Fashion Moment: Bella Hadid at Coperni Fashion Show
This was such an Alexander McQueen-worth fashion show and we all were taken back by the technology the Coperni team used to create a dress live, just by spraying it on Bella Hadid. This moment is exactly what fashion is all about. Magic, countless possibilities, unusual fabrics and new technologies. The show is one we’ll surely never forget.
There was a lot to remember but there’s also a lot to experience next year and we’re looking forward to what the fashion industry has in store for us. What are your most liked fashion moments this year?
