Find Your Fit: How to dress in 2022

With this new year just getting started, there are already a lot of fashion trends coming our way. Once more we’re going big like baggy. While last year we combined baggy jeans with rather tight tops, we will go big all the way in 2022 – wide pants, oversized blouses, shirts, big jackets & coats. The 90s came back and will be extending their stay for another year. High fashion brands like Prada and Chanel claim: the bigger, the better. And if wearing big is not your thing, you will have micro blazers and the returning mini skirts as another fashion trend to look forward to. In great color or sparkling glitter, we will rock this year. The fashion world is unpredictable and we never know what is next on the comeback list.

One important item has to be catsuits as the update from our stay at home onesies to the uncomplicated outfit that will get all the attention it deserves. Alicia Keys and Kim Kardashian already showed us what it could look like and in the right color shade you will definitely be the center of attention. Pantone, the global authority on color, has picked “Very Peri” as the color of the year for 2022. The company describes Very Peri as “a dynamic periwinkle blue hue with a vivifying violet red undertone that blends the faithfulness and constancy of blue with the energy and excitement of red”.

So make sure you add a piece of Very Peri to your collection this year. You’ve got enough black and white already! Lady Gaga, Zendaya and Kamala Harris already introduced us to this color last year, so let them lead the way and inspire you in a stylish way. With a lot of women having to work from home for global safety reasons, dressing up has not been a high priority. Some might have actually lost the connection to the fashionable side of their closet, but we are reconnecting in 2022.

Go online or to a store if possible and add some pieces that define who you wanna be by the end of this year. Dress like the woman you wanna become and not the one that was already unplugged. There are so many great ways to express yourself through clothes and showcase who you truly are. It doesn’t have to be over the top or show an expensive brand tag on it. Even Donatella Versace herself said that her style is not that big, she wears heels, tight pants and diamonds. Only one piece can make a statement, whatever that might be. So we have a lot to look forward to in 2022 and you can be sure that the fashion industry will not disappoint. Find your fit and let’s get dressed!
