While there is so much about Rita Ora dividing the internet and a lot you can read on news outlets, there is a lot more value behind her name. Not only is she one of the most streamed female artists in the UK with the most Top 10 hits for a British female artist in the country – the Rita Ora Effect has more to offer than statistical numbers. Her journey to success is one to be inspired by and a story that gave a lot of young women – including myself – the courage to pursue their own careers. Take me as an example of what it can do and the value it holds is remarkable.
While she is mostly known as a musician, actress and entertainer, Rita Ora has made a name for herself in more than one industry. She has built her career and business from the ground up and paved the way for so many along the way. But an icon is more than a well-known person represented in the media world. It’s someone who’s impact you can see in each person that was truly inspired. That is the real award, seeing people blossom because you became a part of the growing process. For me, things have changed since the day Rita Ora became a part of my story.
Besides admiring her music and all the work she has done, I looked at her story for motivation and found the confidence within myself to move forward. And look at where she is now. She is thriving, living her childhood dream every day, far from done working towards reaching more.
That is the kind of woman who will always be the living example of what you can reach if you don’t let others negatively influence your self-belief and the greatness that sits within you. Her success has not only given her a seat at the table, but has proven and inspired more than you might see as someone sitting on the outside.
There is so much value behind an artist’s name, behind the picture painted by especially tabloid media and unhappy trolls on the internet. How much reality is behind that fabricated truth they claim to be of value? None. It is hard to see reality when you haven’t witnessed the beauty behind it. What you see is what is being presented to you and facts you find scrolling through headlines. But at the end of the day it’s not about how high someone’s song charted, how many streams they’ve gotten or how high their net worth is. And neither is it all about relationships, bikini pictures, fake rumors or past mistakes. Personally, I would say that what should matter the most is the positive effect someone has had on not only people’s lives and growth.
One day all the numbers won’t matter, because what people like Rita Ora will leave one day is the impact that is living in each person they have inspired. A footprint of value each heart will hold, helping us become the best versions of ourselves that we can be. That is what we see behind the name Rita Ora and the effect she has had will be reflected in all the stories she has become a part of.
